  • He was a Ukranian Greek Catholic priest, professor, husband, and father.
  • He did not flee Ukraine even amidst the persecution of the Church in the early 1940's.
  • He received a sick call from a woman who requested the sacrament of reconciliation. Despite the imminent danger, he went and was martyred by the Russian KGB on his way back home.
